Governor Roy Cooper says a class-size bill brought to his desk this week will become law.
The bill allows schools four years to reduce their class sizes in kindergarten through third grade.
Additional funding for art, P.E. teachers and pre-K funding is included in the bill.
Cooper chose not to veto the bill despite other non-educational measures lumped in that he opposes.
