7 U.S. sailors who were killed in a collision between a Navy destroyer and a cargo ship are being identified. The bodies of the sailors were found by divers searching flooded compartments of the USS Fitzgerald. Those killed were from Virginia, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, Ohio and 2 from California.
The Fitzgerald collided with a Philippine-registered container ship early Saturday morning off the coast of Japan. 3 other crew members were hurt in the incident.
